Colors

Impact
A certain type of information can be communicated through color. Color can have a great impact. When we see someone, we first see the color of is/her dress. If the colors are bright, they can almost overpower us or give us a lash of energy, if they are soft and subtle they can calm us.

Mood
Color can suggest mood, but it’s not an exact indication. In fact, certain colors are worn because of conventions, like blue and grey for business. The situation can give a different meaning to color. Lamé at the office is not the same as lamé at the disco.

“In”
To complicate things, there are people who wear certain colors because they are “in” in that moment, or because they think certain colors are no good on them, or because they are the colors of their political party – even if they hate those colors.

Mixtures
Keep in mind, however, that colors can acquire different meanings when they are mixed, or when one color predominates, or when it’s only an accent.

In general, in professional life there is a predominance of black, grey, navy, beige, tan and white, which imply reliability, neutrality, and status.

During leisure time, however, as for example during a picnic, there is a variety or more vivid colors – blue, red, yellow, green, brown – because people tend to wear the colors they like most outside the workplace.

Let's analyse in detail each of the elements:
